Australian Hammered Dulcimer Congress

May 17-18, 2008

Maldon
Victoria

You are cordially invited to join the happy band of hammered dulcimer players from around Australia for the Dulcimer Congress 2008.

The Australian Hammer Dulcimer Association's annual congress will be held on May 17th and 18th, 2008 in Maldon. It is a beautiful, historic town with many tourist attractions, worth a visit even without the AHDA Congress!

There are plenty of accommodation options available ranging from a very nice camping/caravan park right in town with on site caravans/cabins, several bed and breakfast places and a couple of other less expensive options. I had a look at a place in the centre of town called "Affordable Accommodation" which has two double rooms for $80 per night and several rooms with 3 single beds for $50 per person per night. All rooms have en suite facilities, heating & electric blankets, tea & coffee making facilities & fridge. Phone nos. are BH: (03) 5475-2216 AH: (03) 5475-1548 Mob: 0418 166 355 Another relatively inexpensive place is the Derby Hill camp which has apartment style accommodation, I think with BYO bedding (not sure about that). Phone nos. for this and other accommodation can be found if you Google Maldon, Victoria accommodation. If you plan to come, it would be wise to book accommodation soon as it is a popular tourist spot.
